“The point of parenting isn’t to have all the answers before we start out but instead to figure it out on the go as our children grow, because as they do, so will we.” -Bridgett Miller

Recent research tells us that children are “hardwired” from birth to connect with others, and that children who feel a sense of connection to their community, family, and school are less likely to misbehave. To be successful, contributing members of their community, children must learn necessary social and life skills. Positive Discipline is based on the understanding that discipline must be taught and that discipline teaches.
Positive Discipline is all about learning to discipline effectively.

"LaTysa was amazing!! She is very knowledgeable and gives good perspective. I have learned so much and have been able to apply some of the skills and techniques learned at home and have seen a difference in my daughter’s behavior."
"I would recommend LaTysa’s class to parents because the strategies were helpful and LaTysa made the class an open and supportive environment. Her guidance on how to practically apply Positive Discipline was especially useful because it provided the bridge from the reading and materials to using them in our everyday lives."
"Prior to taking this class I did not feel comfortable asking others to react certain ways and be more mindful of the language used. However, with this class I feel empowered to know that I have tools to help guide him for desirable long term results. I try to help encourage others to utilize these tools for my son’s benefit."
